Kissidougou- Water puts out fire and death puts an end to life.
Honorable Séfou BARRY, nicknamed Babaye by his parents and Balio by his friends and colleagues, members of the National Youth Parliament , Forest Region Branch has passed away while leading the fight for the nation’s progress. (Balio in Kissié – local language in Kissidougou - means the one likes to talk).
We, the Junior Honorable Deputies, PlanGuinea, UNICEF and the whole Guinean nation are shedding tears for this painful loss. We will always remember you in our prayers.
You left us at the prime age without any physical achievements or a child of your own. We are happy you did not lead a useless life as you have left an indelible mark in the sands of the time in Guinea. We will remember you as a fearless knight and a strong advocate and fighter for the rights of the children:
- during your visit to the US for the defense of the rights and interests of the child throughout the whole and in particular for the Guinean children and the children of Kissidougou
- your power to open all the doors for the defense and maintenance of the rights of the children of your nation
- your courage to defend not only children but also people in need
You have been a gifted student and teacher always ready to share your knowledge and your skills with your comrades. We were particularly impressed by your report of the World Forum of the Youth held in New York and we will never forget your performance in Nzerekore in front of the honorable deputies of the Plan Guinea program area on the issue.
Death has taken you from us without warning, without seeing your dreams come true, without saying good bye.
We, the junior parliamentarians, pray that you rest in peace and beg the almighty God to receive you in his paradise. When visited while you were sick, you told your friends that “I am getting better, do not be afraid” and then God decided otherwise. We are still asking why death has taken you away from the children of Guinea and the world’s children. Why so quickly and so early while the whole world’s children need your sound judgment.
Please come back as we, your friends, still need you in Guinea and in Kissidougou in particular.
You are too young to die.
May you sleep well for ever.Lord, you have called this innocent soul in your kingdom and please welcome him near you while we wait for our turn. May Séfou BARRY rest in perfect peace? Amen
